This year for National Numeracy Day Rosie, our Senior Functional Skills Maths Tutor created a codebreaker for our apprentices to have a go at. In order to crack the code, participants had to calculate the answers, link them to the codebreaker table, and find out why the two fours decided not to have lunch. Everybody who took part was entered into a prize draw to win an Amazon voucher.
Congratulations to Jennifer Nash who was randomly selected as our winner and special mentions to Toni-Louise Dalziel who completed the challenge in 15 minutes, and Emily Hudson who followed closely!
“National Numeracy Day is a great chance to recognise and work on the maths skills we all need for our everyday lives - from dealing with our finances, to cooking. Hopefully the codebreaker is a fun way for our learners to realise the relevance and importance of these core Maths skills.”
