This year for National Numeracy Day Rosie, our Senior Functional Skills Maths Tutor created a codebreaker for our apprentices to have a go at. In order to crack the code, participants had to calculate the answers, link them to the codebreaker table, and find out why the two fours decided not to have lunch. Everybody who took part was entered into a prize draw to win an Amazon voucher.
Congratulations to Jennifer Nash who was randomly selected as our winner and special mentions to Toni-Louise Dalziel who completed the challenge in 15 minutes, and Emily Hudson who followed closely!
Some feedback from our participants included:
“Thanks, I enjoyed waking my brain with something different this AM!”
“Thank you for the amusing little puzzle for this morning.”
“Thank you for organising a fun codebreaker.”
“That was fun, thanks!”
“Was fun to figure out!”
Thank you to everyone who took part!
National Numeracy Day is an important reminder of the importance of numerical literacy and its needed role in our daily life.
