Here at The Specialists Hub, we are excited to unveil our brand-new PrivacyPRO® Talks series, a dynamic platform designed to dive deep into the world of data protection and information governance. Our mission is to foster an informed and empowered community that thrives on sharing knowledge, insights, and innovative solutions.
Our first PrivacyPRO® Talk was nothing short of inspiring. Emma Godfree, DP and IG Apprentice, spearheaded a captivating session titled “Data Protection for All.” Emma’s enlightening presentation centred on the theme of accessibility within the realm of data protection and information governance. She explored how diverse factors, such as ADHD, dyslexia, neurodivergence, blindness, and colour blindness, play a pivotal role in shaping our approach to data transparency and communication.
In her own words, “Our aim shouldn’t be to reach everyone, but it should be to reach as many people as we can. We need to be able to provide them with the tools they need to truly understand what we as organisations are doing with their data.”
Emma’s insights challenged conventional notions and highlighted the need for tailored solutions that cater to a wide range of needs.
But that’s not all—the PrivacyPRO® Talks series is just getting started! Our second installment, “The Importance of Culture,” featured distinguished speakers Kathryn Brooks, Privacy Officer at The Cambridge Education Group, and Ellie Dowsett, Data Protection Officer at Best Companies. Together, they delved into the critical link between company culture and data protection, emphasising how fostering a culture of data security and trust is fundamental to compliance.
We are excited to announce that there are many more engaging PrivacyPRO® talks on the horizon. If you’re a data protection professional, industry expert, or enthusiast, we invite you to join our community of speakers.
